The Gate River Run
Every year, the biggest 15K in the country is, in all places, here. It's a fun race, with lots of live music and camaraderie. This year there were 20,000 runners! I decided to run again to see if I could beat last year's time of 1 hour 39 minutes for the 9.3 miles. It was fortunate that Jason's colleague, who is a big-time runner, and I ran together, because she REALLY pushed me. This year my time was 1 hour 17 minutes... fast enough for a top 10% finish! It was really exhillerating and rewarding. I also got a beautiful "tour" of the city that's been home to us for the last two years, and that we'll leave in the coming months. Scroll over "The Gate River Run title of this posting to check out the link, if you're interested in the race.
