Welcome to our blog...

Now that we are settled with Nathan here in Austin, we want to chronicle this special time. Life is flying by, and having our son makes us realize even moreso the importance and fulfillment of cherishing every moment! This site is a fun way to share our stuff with you guys, and is also a great place for us to keep track of all our family good times... and joys, fears, deepest philosophical thoughts and staunch political beliefs... not really. Mostly it'll be pics and updates! So please, be involved, post comments, etc., and just enjoy!

Merry Christmas! This year has brought about so many changes for us, and we feel incredibly blessed. We are now home in Texas, nearer than we've been in years to most of our family. We love living here, and have found a fantastic home in a south Austin community that fits who we are, and what we need. And amazingly, we have made so many new friends in our neighborhood! Living on a cul-de-sac with tons of kids couldn't be better for Nathan. These are the kids he'll grow up with and be buddies with for years. Nathan also started preschool two mornings a week, and loves it. He's such a sweet, happy kid, loves his puzzles and his legos, playing chase with Daddy, throwing the ball, and listening to music. He's a blessing! And Jason is transitioning into civilian medicine really well. Having the opportunity to be part of a brand new hospital, and to help it take off has been exciting. Not that there haven't been and won't be challenges, but Jason is truly happy working here. As for me, I'm more at peace than I've been in a while. I can finally focus on just living, growing friendships, my family, and my faith...and on getting back to my passions of reading and running. Can't wait!

Anyway, we are so looking forward to 2010, and to getting more settled and more comfortable in our new home. We pray we'll find our new church home this year. We also pray for Nathan's continued health and development, and of course, good health and peace for all of our dear family and friends.

Love,
Us
